Implementation of road safety audit and inspection in the Czech Republic

Road safety audit and inspection are procedures, which usage can significantly improve the safety of road infrastructure. This article describes the process of implementation of these tools in the Czech Republic. The conclusions and recommendations resulting from the recent work of the safety expert’s team established in Transport Research Centre are summed up in the following text. It offers a possibility to learn from the described barriers in the implementation process.
