Entropy-TOPSIS method for selecting locations for electric vehicle charging stations

W. Xu, F. He
Pages: 83-96

Abstract:

Electric vehicle charging stations are an important component of the supporting infrastructure for the development of electric vehicles. The location selection for electric vehicle charging stations is of great significance for the promotion of electric vehicles. In this paper, we set up an evaluation index system for the location of the charging station. Next, we use the improved entropy-TOPSIS method to select candidate points. The accurate location model for charging stations was established using the lowest cost of the charging station and the minimum time for charging a vehicle as the goals. The genetic algorithm is used to solve the model. Finally, an example is given to verify the scientific value and feasibility of the model and algorithm. The research results can provide a reference for the site selection of electric vehicle charging stations.
