Abstract:

This study investigates how AV gains and the capacity allocation ratio influence the overall cost of the system indifferent lane policies, as well as the collaborative optimization design problem. Findings indicate that MA policy result in higher system costs than AR and MR policies. Moreover, the MR policy offers a notable cost advantage over the AR policy. The balance between non-schedule delay costs for different vehicle types significantly influences cost variations under AR and MR policies. While the value of time impacts the relationship between total cost and the AV gain under the MA lane policy.
