Research on the impact of deep excavation construction on surrounding traffic in soft soil areas

Y. Wang, H. Zhou
Pages: 59-70

Abstract:

Soft soil can cause soil displacement during construction, which in turn spreads to the pavement structure layer through stress transmission, leading to uneven settlement and crack propagation, ultimately affecting surrounding traffic. Firstly, the dynamic behavior of motor vehicles in the construction area can be quantitatively analyzed through social force model theory to ensure safe and orderly passage. Secondly, a dual layer programming model is used to calculate the maximum traffic capacity, with the upper layer considering soil deformation constraints and the lower layer reflecting traffic organization schemes based on user equilibrium allocation. Finally, combined with reinforcement learning methods, a variable speed limit control strategy is proposed to dynamically optimize the speed limit value to balance excavation deformation and traffic efficiency. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves precise control of queue length within 50 meters and travel delay rate below 2.2%.
