Simulation of vision is a major issue in driving simulation. While driving a car, most of the driving relevant information is perceived by human vision. Because vision is important so much, driving simulation demands for highly realistic image generation. A variety of algorithms used at BMW Group Research and Technology to dramatically increase the quality of real-time rendering in driving simulation software are presented.
