Abstract
An improved stimulus-response vehicle-following model is developed and compared with two existing counterparts through a case study of forty five individual driving behaviors. These models are evaluated in acceleration and deceleration modes. Descriptive statistical analyses of parameters are provided for comparison. Moreover, the velocity and travel distance of subject vehicles are predicted to evaluate the performance of various models.
