Abstract
The traditional lane change warning method is time-consuming and low success rate. A lane change warning method based on radar ranging is proposed. Based on the principle of Doppler radar, the distance between static vehicle and dynamic vehicle around the target vehicle is judged and measured. According to the lane line coordinate parameters, the distance between the target vehicle and the left and right lane lines is calculated, and the vehicle turning and lane changing time is calculated by combining the speed and road condition information at this time. If the lane change time is longer than the safety threshold time, the lane change warning is enabled. Experimental results show that the method has a high success rate of early warning, with an average success rate of 98.22%.
