In order to overcome the problem of poor accuracy of the maximum coverage location results of traditional urban freight distribution points, a method for maximum coverage location of urban freight distribution points based on a traffic planning optimization model is proposed. The transportation planning optimization model is established on the GIS platform, the genetic algorithm is used to judge the pros and cons of the scheme, and the digital elevation model is used to obtain the coverage map of the urban transportation planning. Calculate the coverage and joint coverage of the random points to the freight distribution points in the coverage map of the urban transportation plan, and determine the location of the freight distribution points based on the maximum coverage. Experimental results show that the transportation cost of each supply point and each demand point obtained by this method is always lower than other methods.
